February 15, 1493:  Correspondence from Columbus.  In a letter sent to Luis de Sant Angel, Christopher Columbus included extracts from his journal which told of his discovery of new and far-off lands.

February 15, 1879:  Women in the Law.  For the first time in history lady lawyers were authorized to practice law before the United States Supreme Court.

February 15, 1926:  Yale’s Treasure.   The original Gutenberg Bible, from 15th-century Germany, was sold in New York for $106,000 and presented to Yale University.
